Enlarged Pores

Enlarged Pores Come from Sun Damage

  • Enlarged Pores Come from Sun Damage
  • Microdermabrasion Improves Enlarged Pores
  • Physician-Directed Treatment Important
  • Enlarged pores are one of the five signs of sun damaged skin. The other four include facial veins, wrinkles and fine lines, sagging skin, and sun spots. As we receive sun exposure, the sun's UV light damages the composition and texture of our skin, resulting in enlarged pores.

Microdermabrasion Can Help Improve Enlarged Pores

Microdermabrasion does a very good job of exfoliating the skin and drying excessive oil. This will improve skin texture and provide some tightening of enlarged pores. Multiple treatment may be required.

    Physician-Directed Treatment Important

Generally physician-directed microdermabrasion is recommended. A physician can consult you on all your treatment options for enlarged pores, including microdermabrasion.
