What is the treatment like?

Generally a microdermabrasion session can take from 30 minutes to an hour. The microdermabrasion hand piece will be passed over your skin and you will begin to feel a mild scratching as the procedure removes the superficial skin cells, the stratum corneum.

This scratching will soon pass and a vibrating sensation, akin to a massage, will set in. Following the session your skin will feel smoother and tighter and some redness is common for several hours afterwards.

Best results may require a series of treatment sessions, over several weeks. Your doctor can consult with you as to the best regimen for you to follow for best results.
